14 January 2015

The 11th edition of PCD, the annual international gathering of perfumes, cosmetics & make-up packaging experts, takes place this year at the Espace Champerret in Paris on 4-5 February.

PCD (Packaging of Perfume, Cosmetics & Design) brings together some 4,000 brand experts and leading specialists in cosmetics, perfumes and make-up packaging and materials from some 70 countries. There will also be more than 250 exhibitors, leading international packaging suppliers serving the cosmetics, perfumery and make-up markets. This year, PCD runs concurrently with ADF, the Aerosol & Dispensing Forum, and two new industry events: the Pet's & Vet's Packaging forums, which are dedicated to petfood and veterinary product packaging.

With its conference programme featuring 90 speakers representing the highest level of international expertise, PCD is a unique opportunity for brand decision-makers and experts in packaging, R&D, purchasing and marketing to take stock of innovations, technical advances and packaging trends.

The supporting exhibition area will enable suppliers of perfume and cosmetic packaging industry to present their products and innovations. They include suppliers of raw materials, manufacturers of packaging machines, producers and distributors of packaging systems, customised packaging manufacturers, production and control software suppliers, materials, new materials, compatibility, active packaging, design, rapid prototyping, pre-series, dispensing systems & pumps, anti-counterfeiting, and printing.

Iggesund is the producer of Invercote and Incada, two of the world's leading paperboard brands. The company is part of the Holmen group, which owns more than 1.3 million hectares of forest in Sweden. They also provide service and support ranging from technical advice and logistics solutions to designer inspiration and business consulting.

Porcelain is a material favoured by Les Parfumable. This patented ceramic is well known by the perfume companies to be an alternative to the traditional blotters, point of sale testers, give-aways and promotional items. With a focus on the quality of the restitution of the fine fragrances, Les Parfumables offers "a unique experience to the client with a long lasting effect".

PolyOne Corporation is a global leader offering an array of specialised polymer materials, tailored services and end-to-end solutions. Each year, PolyOne introduces its Colour Inspiration guide to ignite the creative and imaginative design process as it collaborates with its customers. By considering colour, effects and material in the earliest stages of product development, it can improve innovation, strategic decision making and speed-to-market. The company's InVisiO value-added services are yet another way that PolyOne is serving as a total solutions provider to customers around the globe.

PRP is the first European company to offer liquid metallising technology on plastics bottles, jars, tubes, closures - "whatever your needs and objectives". A wide range of options are available regarding the type of plastics requested, and the decoration (opaque, shading off and translucid, hot stamping, silk screening). The company can also create new packaging concepts such as multiple layers, thermo-welded double pouches, and tailored decoration features.

With more than 200 years of experience in the art of producing premium paper and board, British papermaker Tullis Russell's FSC certified products include SBS cartonboard, ivory board, offsets and pulp board, to add value to high-end brands across many sectors. The company partners with some of the best known global brands across a wide range of sectors, including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, chocolates, beverages, audio visual and IT.

Thanks to recent collaboration with new partners, Virospack is now including moulded glass and plastics bottles to complement the droppers that are its speciality. Saleable versions are available in 30ml and 50ml moulded glass neck finish 20/410 with a wiper, and a new 5ml 13/415 for promo packs in PETG, to fit classic or pushbutton droppers.
